Oracle HTTP Server (OHS) is a web server based on the open source Apache HTTP Server and is a key component within the Oracle Web Tier 11g and 12c product portfolio.

Oracle HTTP Server is installed with Portal / Forms / Reports / Discoverer (PFRD), Cloud Control, and Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE).

Additionally, it is more popularly used with the following:

  • WLS Proxy Plug-in (mod_wl_ohs)
  • Secure Socket Layer (SSL)
  • Virtual Hosts
  • Reverse Proxy (mod_proxy)
  • webgate (mod_webgate)
