Symptoms

Oracle Access Manager (OAM) 11g WebGate for 11g OHS - Apache HTTP Server has stopped working; OHS Error (OS 10038) "An Operation was Attempted on Something that is not a Socket

Editing the OHS 'httpd.conf' and excluding (commenting out) include webgate.conf allows OHS to start as expected.

The issue has been verified to occur in environments with the following product versions:

  • OAM 11.1.2.3.0
  • OAM WebGate 11.1.2.2.0/11.1.2.3.0
  • OHS 11.1.1.9.0
