SQLDeveloper Failing to Connect to Database When Using Encryption (Doc ID 2279529.1)

Symptoms

When the SQLNET.CRYPTO_CHECKSUM_SERVER parameter is set to REQUIRED or REQUESTED for encryption connection, SQLDeveloper is unable to connect and the following error is displayed:

"Your database connection has been reset. Any pending transactions or session state has been lost."
