Symptoms
The Node Manager starts with root user when PostBindUID and PostBindGID are being set in WebLogic console, Environments-> Machines ->General.
The WebLogic processes are owned by the user specified in PostBindUID however the Database connections are being observed to have created from root user.
Changes
Set PostBindUID and PostBindGID to bind a managed server to a port lower or equal to 1024 in a UNIX system
