ODI Connected to VCS SVN: Objects are Listed in "Pending Changes" After Creating Partial Tag and Importing from VCS into ODI Branch (Doc ID 2284992.1)

Last updated on JUNE 16, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Data Integrator - Version 12.2.1.2.6 to 12.2.1.2.8 [Release 12c]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) 12.2.1.2.6 connecting to Version Control System (VCS) Apache Subversion (SVN), after populating a new branch repository from partial tag, "pending changes" action incorrectly includes objects in the list.
Since this is a new repository and modifications are not yet made, the list of "pending changes" should be empty

To reproduce:

  1. In a TRUNK ODI repository, create a new partial tag including some objects.

  2. Create a new BRANCH from the partial tag and populate ODI from VCS:
Menu: Team - VCS Actions - Populate ODI Repository from VCS

  3. View the changes pending
Menu: Team - VCS Actions - Pending Changes

=> Note that there are objects in the list.

The issue occurs even with Patch installed for <Bug 25969298> - SVN: "Pending Changes" lists objects even though none are modified.

For more information on <Bug 25969298> see <Document 2273656.1> - Incorrect Reporting of Pending Changes After Initially Populating ODI Repository from VCS.
