@Schedule Annotation Stopped Working When DST Changed from NZDT to NZST (Doc ID 2285193.1)

Last updated on MAY 18, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle WebLogic Server - Version 12.1.3.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The AIM of @Schedule annotation is to fire an event every second. When DST will end, the application with @Schedule annotation implementation stopped firing the scheduled operation, resulting in services being delayed for 1 hr.  Issue started from 2 am NZDT to 3 am NZDT(2 am NZST).

Background:

DST will end on 3 AM NZDT.   Time will rollback one hour when timezone change to NZST from NZDT.
-------------------
3 AM NZDT change to 2 AM NZST, Apr 2th.
---------------------

Log:  no any output after Apr 2, 2017 1:59:59 AM NZDT. But schedule still file event on each sec before 1:59:59 AM NZDT
