Applies to:

Java SE JDK and JRE - Version 8 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Java Advanced Management Console (AMC) allows for generating and managing Deployment Rule Sets (DRS).  All rule sets must be contained in a signed DeploymentRuleSet.jar file before they can be deployed to enterprise desktops.  The AMC User's Guide describes the ways you or AMC can sign the DeploymentRuleSet.jar file.  This document expounds on that documentation with additional details as to how the signing certificate and/or private keys are managed, depending on the DRS signing option you choose.
