OUD 11g - Virtual Static Group Searches are Not Working after Applying Patch 25383162 (Doc ID 2288204.1)

Symptoms

In an OUD 11.1.2.3.170418 installation with a configuration of Virtual Static Groups and allow-retrieving-membership:true, Virtual Static Group searches are not working after applying the OUD BP 25383162 11.1.2.3.170418

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

After installing OUD BP 25383162 11.1.2.3.170418, getting the following results while searching:

$ ./ldapsearch -h localhost -p LDAP_PORT -D "DS_ADMIN" -w <PASSWORD> -b "ou=groups,dc=SUFFIX_DN" '(&(uniquemember=uid=USER_2,ou=People,dc=SUFFIX_DN)(objectclass=groupOfUniqueNames))' dn
   SEARCH operation failed
   Result Code:  32 (No Such Entry)
   Additional Information:  The search base entry 'cn=my_group,ou=Groups,dc=SUFFIX_DN' does not exist
   Matched DN:  ou=People,dc=SUFFIX_DN

After rolling back the Patch BP 25383162 11.1.2.3.170418, able again to perform such searches:

$ ./ldapsearch -h localhost -p LDAP_PORT -D "DS_ADMIN" -w <PASSWORD> -b "ou=groups,dc=SUFFIX_DN" '(&(uniquemember=uid=USER_2,ou=People,dc=SUFFIX_DN)(objectclass=groupOfUniqueNames))' dn
dn: cn=Accounting Managers,ou=groups,dc=SUFFIX_DN

 

Changes
