Performance Issues Starting the WC_Portal Managed Server in WebCenter Portal 12c (Doc ID 2290321.1)

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

Startup of the WC_Portal managed server in WebCenter Portal 12c is very slow.  It is taking 20 to 30 minutes to start the managed server.

Facts:

• Issue happens with New WebCenter Portal 12c Installs or after upgrade to 12c.
  
  
• Issue gets more severe when WC_Portal is running over a shared NFS partition.
  
  
• Issue has being observed  also in ExaLogic installs.
   
• Issue has being observed in Windows and Linux.
   
• Issue can happen also with WC_Portlet managed server.
  
  
• In the WC_Portal.out log file you can see the managed server is taking a good chunk of time after <JAXRSIntegration> entries.

• In the above example it takes about 21 minutes after the last <JAXRSIntegration> entry but in more severe cases it can take more than an hour.
  
  

Changes

Issue happens after fresh install of WebCenter Portal 12c or after upgrade from 11g to 12c.
