Changing New ODI KM Option "Component Type" to "Database" or "File" Causes Upgraded KM to Be Hidden (Doc ID 2291531.1)

Symptoms

Some Global Knowledge Modules that were upgraded from a version prior to 12.2.1.2.6 disappear when unintentionally changing the new component type option from "undefined (default)" to either "database" or "file". Once the KM disappears it is no longer visible to the developer and can only by found by a SQL query.
