OUD 12c - How to Download and Install OUD 12c in Standalone Mode (with No Domain Configuration) (Doc ID 2298379.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 08, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Unified Directory - Version 12.2.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

This document goes through the steps to install OUD 12c in Standalone Mode.
When OUD 12c is installed in Standalone Mode, OUDSM (the web administration interface) is not installed. So there is no need for domain configuration using WLST.
If needed, an OUD instance in Standalone Mode can be administered from another OUDSM installation.

NOTE: An OUD instance that is installed in Standalone Mode, can not be stopped and / or started using startComponent.sh and stopComponent.sh commands from the Command Line or using the WLST commands. OUD instances created in Standalone Mode can be started and stopped by using the start-ds and stop-ds commands.

To upgrade to OUD 12.2.1.4.0 from 11g, refer to -
