Symptoms

Fresh installation of Oracle Internet Directory (OID) 11g 11.1.1.9.0 on Oracle Sparc Solaris fails.

Oracle Installer hangs on starting OID as shown below:

 

 
The OID server process log (oidldapd01s<pid>-0000.log file shows error starting OID:
