Last updated on OCTOBER 20, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Coherence - Version 3.7.1.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

The Customer has upgraded Coherence data grid from the version 3.5.x to 3.7.1.16. He has noticed that post upgrade all features are working except the manual eviction. He is using a custom class, EvictProcessor, to evict entries from cache on demand based on the Note Doc ID 753700.1. He is distributing the cache with cache stores implementing all methods, store etc. In this particular scenario, the EvictProcessor extends AbstractProcessor and implement ExternalizableLite interface. The whole eviction was working perfectly until the upgrade to Coherence 3.7.1.16. He is also noted that still eviction is working for few database (cache store) backed caches but failing most of the time.
