Goal

Oracle Access Manager 11gr2 (OAM 11.1.2.x) Kerberos/WNA Authentication - What is the Impact of Changing the User Service Principal Name that is Used in Generating the OAM Keytab File

Back Ground
For migration of Active Directory to Office 365, facing issues because of a particular user which is a SSO service account used to generate the OAM keytab file. The AD account is ABC_sso with a principal name of HTTP/hostname.domain@ad.domain.

It appears the special character (/) is causing issues with the migration.

The command used to generate the OAM keytab file - ktpass -princ HTTP/hostname.domain@ad.domain -mapuser ABC_sso -pass -out c:\temp\sso.keytab

  • To change the principal name to remove the "/", what would be the possible impact in SSO OAM?
  • Do we just need to recreate the OAM keytab file with the updated principal name?
