Symptoms

ISSUE
-----------------------
Running into an invalid username/password issue while running Repository Creation Utility (RCU). The username and password is valid and can be used to login using the credentials in SQL Developer but it is failing in the RCU utility.


ERROR
-----------------------
ORA 28040 - No matching authentication protocol.


STEPS TO REPLICATE
-----------------------
1. Execute rcu script.
2. Enter database credentials.
3. Click next and the error is experienced.

BUSINESS IMPACT
-----------------------
User unable to move forward into install process.
