ODI 12.2.1.2.6 Sets Incorrect Deployment Type in Execution Patch Archive Created Within Version Control System (VCS) (Doc ID 2322114.1)

Last updated on JULY 30, 2018

Applies to:

Oracle Data Integrator - Version 12.2.1.2.6 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When creating a "Patch Deployment Archive" from a Version Control System (VCS) Label in an Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) repository that is integrated with VCS (Apache Subversion SVN or Git), the Execution Patch Deployment Archive file is labeled incorrectly as an "Initial Deployment Archive". Also, the Source Type is ODI where it should be VCS (SVN or Git). As a result, the deployment archive cannot be used for patching.

See the following documentation for more information:

Fusion Middleware Developing Integration Projects with Oracle Data Integrator

22.3 Creating a Deployment Archive from a VCS Label

The odi-da-descriptor.xml of Execution Patch Deployment Archive file shows the following incorrect entry:

<DeploymentArchiveType>INITIAL</DeploymentArchiveType>
<SourceType>ODI</SourceType>

where it should be:

<DeploymentArchiveType>PATCH</DeploymentArchiveType>
<SourceType>VCS</SourceType>
