How to Create an OUD Directory Server Instance (11g / 12c) (Doc ID 2325052.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 11, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Unified Directory - Version 11.1.1.5.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

This document covers the creation of an OUD Directory Server instance in versions 11g and 12c (Standalone, not by using WLST) using the oud-setup command line interface, rather than the graphical user interface (GUI).

The example in this KM doc shows how the oud-setup command creates an OUD Directory Server instance.
To create an OUD Proxy Server instance, run oud-proxy-setup.
To create an OUD Replication Gateway instance, run oud-replication-gateway-setup.

To create OUD 12c WLST instances (which can only be created when installing OUD 12c in a WLS domain), refer to -
OUD 12c - How to Create a Directory Server Instance or Proxy Server Instance Using WLST / How to Start the OUD Instance Installed in a WLS Domain / How to Start WLS to Use OUDSM (Doc ID 2298807.1)
