Purpose
This document describes a strategy to migrate OIG’s database 12c (non-CDB) to 12c pluggable database (PDB) in a new CDB environment with minimal down time.
AUDIENCE
This document is for primarily for Database Administrators who plan for, deploy, and manage OIG Database. It requires advanced knowledge of Oracle Database Administration.

This document applies to Oracle Database - Enterprise Edition - (12.1.0.2) and later on any platform

Migrating a 12c non-CDB to a PDB on remote host
Migrating a 12c non-CDB to a PDB on the same host
PREREQUISITIES
Target host have a CDB database configured on it
WARNING
Once migrations starts, DO NOT ADD datafiles to the source. The incremental apply command (recover database noredo) WILL ONLY recover the datafiles already restored/cataloged. It WILL NOT RESTORE any new/ added datafiles.
