Last updated on MARCH 06, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Internet Directory - Version 12.2.1.3.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In Oracle Internet Directory (OID) 12c 12.2.1.3.0, alert logs for outlier entries, there are Total Time, OPTime, QTime, DBTime, etc. For example:

[2017-10-19T15:13:11.228561][PID:112536][TID:12][connDN:cn=user,ou=myou,c=us][connID:291][connAddr:::ffff:<IP address>][ECID:<ECID number>][OP:Search][BaseDN:][Filter:(objectclass=*)][scp: 0][ra:][nentries:1][Total Time:13619662 micro sec][OPTime:27238700 micro sec][QTime:13619038 micro sec][DBTime:473 micro sec][OID Log:oidldapd01s112536-0000.log]

The Total Time value shows smaller than OPTime value, which is wrong.

The correct relationship is TotalTime = OPTime + QTime, but for Search operations only, this relationship does not hold and is shown incorrectly.
