Goal

Questions below specifically are for AIX and JFS2. If Oracle has any recommendations, please share them.

1. Why is Goldengate causing demoted IO while writing data to the trail files?
2. How to avoid demoted IO by the goldengate process? What are the oracle recommendations to avoid this issue?
3. What is the the block size goldengate uses when it is writing data to the trail files? and is there any parameter with which we can limit the block size for Goldengate process?(For Eg. the DB_BLOCK_SIZE parameter at database level can be used to change the db block to match with OS block size.)
