How to Restrict Forms Users To Access Multiple Applications, Each with Their Own Default RAD? (Doc ID 2330218.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 28, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle Forms - Version 11.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Oracle Forms integrated with Oracle Internet Directory (OID) and Oracle Access Manager (OAM).

To bypass users creating individual Resource Access Descriptors (RADs), a default RAD was created for an application.

Now trying to setup another application on the same box with the same environment. For this, a separate section was created in the Forms config file, and another RAD was created to access this second application.

So there are now two different urls (e.g., Dev and Test) to access the Forms application with two RAD's.

The problem is that any user in OID can access both the applications and this is not desired. Need to restrict a user to access the application which they are not supposed to access.

The goal is to restrict Dev users to access the Test url, and Test users to access Dev url.

How to achieve this requirement?
