(Doc ID 2330526.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 20, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle Access Manager - Version 11.1.2.2.7 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 11.1.2.2.7 version, OAM SERVER

OAM servers experiencing high login response time intermittently.

The pattern seen is sudden drop in the number of user logins due to increased  wait times... the login transactions then resume followed by  sudden spike in user login times and then a dip.

The logs show lot of ldap authentication failures... and ovd logs show socket closures..

ERROR
-----------------------
Three of the four OAM servers shown very long waits for an LDAP search.  I am attaching screenshots of the JFRs as examples --- see file screenshot_oam_NC006QAAOED_bockedthread, screenshot_oam_NC006QAA302_bockedthread, screenshot_oam_NC006QAA303_bockedthread, screenshot_oam_NC006QAA305_bockedthread, Note the orange blocks in the screenshots, those are long delayed LDAP searchs.

Below is an example stack trace taken from one of the JFRs that seems to be a common theme with all the delays that show up around the same date/time frame.
