OAM: 184.108.40.206 : Intermittent OAM login failures with- Socket Exceptions at OVD Layer

On : 18.104.22.168.7 version, OAM SERVER
OAM servers experiencing high login response time intermittently.
The pattern seen is sudden drop in the number of user logins due to increased wait times... the login transactions then resume followed by sudden spike in user login times and then a dip.
The logs show lot of ldap authentication failures... and ovd logs show socket closures..
Three of the four OAM servers shown very long waits for an LDAP search. I am attaching screenshots of the JFRs as examples --- see file screenshot_oam_NC006QAAOED_bockedthread, screenshot_oam_NC006QAA302_bockedthread, screenshot_oam_NC006QAA303_bockedthread, screenshot_oam_NC006QAA305_bockedthread, Note the orange blocks in the screenshots, those are long delayed LDAP searchs.
Below is an example stack trace taken from one of the JFRs that seems to be a common theme with all the delays that show up around the same date/time frame.
