Symptoms

After upgrading from WebLogic Server 10.3.6 JDK 1.6.0_55 to WebLogic Server 12.2.1 with JDK 1.8.0_65, we get the below error when a Windows .Net application calls Java application hosted on WebLogic Server over SSL. 

Changes

 Upgraded from  WebLogic 10.3.6 Java 6 to WebLogic 12.2.1 with Java 8
