Deleting SOA Composite Application Instance Not Working - ORA-06575: Package Or Function COLLAXA Is In An Invalid State (Doc ID 2331463.1)

Symptoms

When trying to delete a SOA composite application instance, the instance ID is not being deleted even after waiting minutes/hours.

This operation is done using the following steps as an Admin user, and the error below is seen:

STEPS:

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Click on Composite
2. Go to instances tab
3. Click on composite instance you want to delete (Completed status)
4. Click on Delete Selected button
5. Select Delete
