Goal

How to enable support for Basic HTTP Authentication in MAF to access a REST WS behind HTTPS without using Oracle security implementations?

If not using Oracle security implementations to access a resource behind HTTPS with Basic authentication, then the security portion of the IDE connection and MAF's login handling isn't needed.
