I-Extract Abends On Archive Log Older Than Begin Position OR Shows Incorrect Lag (Doc ID 2332202.1)

Symptoms

In an Oracle GoldenGate (OGG) environment with Integrated extract and incorrectly set OS time zone:

a) I-extract created or altered to BEGIN NOW:     ADD EXTRACT <extract_name>, INTEGRATED TRANLOG, BEGIN NOW
will abend if looking for archive log files that are older than the extract registration.  An example error:  ORA-00308: cannot open archived log '+ARCHLOG/ORCTL_1_18359_846435713.arc'

b) lag for I-extract can be misreported as too large a value, even when there is no true lag

Changes

 On investigation of the issue, the OS time zone for I-extract was found to be different than the source database OS time zone.
