How to resolve Origin Servers Marked Offline or Unreachable by Oracle Traffic Director

Symptoms

OTD marks one of the origin servers as offline/unreachable when origin servers are using different set of Certificates.
It can work only with single origin server at a time.

This seems happen when both OTD and origin servers are using only TLS 1.2. 

OTD server.log shows following errors:
