On recovery options

1) Retry recovery option : I can modify all BPEL process variables before performing the retry action. Is there a possibility to limit the list of variables that one can modify before retrying (in order to limit the risk of error)?
2) Continue recovery option : there is no way to modify a process variable before performing the continue action. However in some cases one needs to modify a backend response variable before continuing the process because the rest of the process depends on this response information. Is it possible to modify variables in a Continue recovery option?
3) Replay recovery option : what is the difference of the Replay option compared with the Retry option?
