Goal

= Install and configure Directory Integration Platform (DIP) 12c without a database with Oracle Unified Directory (OUD) 12c as the back-end Directory Server.

These types of OUD 12c installations do not require a database installation -

- Standalone  - No WebLogic Server (WLS) Domain Creation, Created without using WebLogic Scripting Tool (WLST)
- OUD and OUDSM in Separate WLS Domains

For more info -

OUD 12c - How to Create OUD & OUDSM Domain(s) In a Single Domain or in Separate Domains (Doc ID 2305185.1)

= Configure DIP in the same domain as Oracle Unified Directory Services Manager (OUDSM).

If OUDSM will be used to administer OUD and DIP will also be configured, there is no need to create separate domains for DIP and OUDSM.
