Symptoms
Intermittent errors while connecting to Oracle database running on a Windows platform.
Client side errors:
Caused by: oracle.net.ns.NetException: Socket read timed out
at oracle.net.ns.NSProtocolStream.negotiateConnection(NSProtocolStream.java:159)
at oracle.net.ns.NSProtocol.connect(NSProtocol.java:264)
at oracle.jdbc.driver.T4CConnection.connect(T4CConnection.java:1452)
at oracle.jdbc.driver.T4CConnection
Server side errors:
TNS-12537: TNS:connection closed
TNS-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error
TNS-00507: Connection closed
64-bit Windows Error: 109: Unknown error
