Desktop Integration Suite (DIS) Generates Error when attempting to Process Attachments from a Digitally Signed Email

Desktop Integration Suite generates error when attempting to Check-In attachments from a digitally signed email: Oracle WebCenter Content Server - Outlook Integration Failed to separate attachment 'Untitled Attachment0.dat. Untitled Attachment1.dat. Untitled Attachment2.dat.' it will be kept in the email body after check in.
When checking in digitally signed emails, the attachments cannot be separated for proper check-in. The email body is checked in correctly, along with a dat file containing the email and all attachment content, most of it unusable.
