Enterprise Capture is not Importing Emails with PDF Attachments and Error "Failed to convert <PDF> using GhostScript. Exit code: 1" (Doc ID 2350823.1)

Symptoms

WebCenter Enterprise Capture (WEC) Email Import Processor is sometimes failing to process emails containing PDF attachments.  Import Processor uses a custom script (Ghost Script) to convert the PDF attachments to tiff.

The Capture logs show the following error reported form Ghost Script

oracle.odc.exception.CaptureException: Error extracting attachments

Caused by: oracle.odc.exception.CaptureException: javax.script.ScriptException: sun.org.mozilla.javascript.internal.JavaScriptException: Failed to convert <PATH>AppData\Local\Temp\CaptureImport\1306334\<FILENAME>.PDF using GhostScript. Exit code: 1 (<Unknown source>#129) in <Unknown source> at line number 129
