Symptoms

Oracle Virtual Directory (OVD) 11g integrated with Oracle Internet Directory (OID) 11g.

Cannot connect to OID from OVD and ldapsearch fails with:

ldap_result: Can't contact LDAP server (-1)

Or,

ldap_result: 32 No such object.
