RCU Run from the SOA ORACLE_HOME Hangs for Hours (Doc ID 2357269.1)

Symptoms

On : 11.1.1.7.0 version, while attempting to use the Repository Creation Utility(RCU) utility from the SOA ORACLE_HOME to drop and recreate schemas,
the utility seems to hang on the "initializing repository configuration metatdata" screen for hours.


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Start RCU that comes with SOA 11.1.1.7.0.
  2. Select to drop schema.
  3. Provide connection details.
  4. Initialization pop-up screen comes up and just sits for hours.
