Using Key-Up, Validation Is Skipped For LOV

Symptoms
In a data entry page, some mandatory fields are implemented as List of Values with no default value specified. When entering data using the keyboard, if a value is selected and then left blank, a red outline clearly shows the mandatory condition is not fulfilled. However, when using the up key repeatedly to move the selection to the blank value, at times the red outline is not shown and the error about the mandatory condition is not flagged. This causes problem when entering values as the validation is delayed to the moment when the page is submitted. It should be shown immediately.
