Goal

Does ODSEE product use SCSI INQUIRY command to access device disk data?

Background:
SCSI Inquiry behavior changed from VMware ESX 4.0 and this could impact the application which using 'SCSI Inquiry' data.
For the users who use DSEE in vmware have concern from this change. They want to know whether DSEE uses 'SCSI Inquiry' internally.

SCSI INQUIRY command and Vital Product Data (VPD)
The SCSI INQUIRY (Operation code 12h) command is sent to a target for each logical unit.
For more information about the SCSI INQUIRY command, see Section 3.6 of the SCSI Commands Reference Manual from Seagate.
The target should respond with information about the logical unit using Vital Product Data (VPD) page codes.
