Adding External Links in WebCenter Portal Wikis, Blogs or Link Components Fails With Error "The URL entered is not available in the list of valid URLs. Contact your system administrator for the list of valid URLs" (Doc ID 2363533.1)

Symptoms

Attempting to add an external link on a Wiki, Blog or Link Component returns the following error:


ERROR

The URL entered is not available in the list of valid URLs. 
Contact your system administrator for the list of valid URLs. 



STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

 

Using Links:

  1. Connect to WebCenter Portal.
  2. Go to a Portal and edit a page.
  3. Add a Link component.
  4. Try to add a link to an external site.  The error is displayed.

Using Wikis:

  1. Connect to WebCenter Portal.
  2. Go to a Portal and edit a Wiki.
  3. Try to add a URL resource to an external site in the Wiki.  The error is displayed.

Using Blogs:

  1. Connect to WebCenter Portal.
  2. Go to a Portal and edit a Blog.
  3. Try to add a URL resource to an external site in the blog.  The error is displayed.
