How Service Name Of An Integrated Replicat's Associated Inbound Server Queue Name Can Be Changed ? (Doc ID 2364522.1)

Last updated on MARCH 01, 2018

Applies to:

Oracle GoldenGate - Version 12.2.0.1.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Before creating one of replicat in integrated mode.

SQL> show parameter service;

NAME                                 TYPE        VALUE
------------------------------ ----------- ------------------------------
service_names                    string      GGS, SSO

SQL> select 1 from v$parameter where value not like '%OSSO1P%' and value like '%SSO%' and name='service_names';

        1
----------
        1

In this case the above query was being used for querying DB servers from the Load Balancer.

Now, when a new service created/running for specific replicat (R_SNTK) for inbound server queue name.

SQL> show parameter service;

NAME                                 TYPE        VALUE
------------------------------- ----------- ---------------------------------------------------
service_names                   string      GGS, SSO, SYS$GGS.OGGQ$R_SNTK.QOSSO1P

***where QOSSO1P = DB name

SQL> select 1 from v$parameter where value not like '%OSSO1P%' and value like '%SSO%' and name='service_names';

no rows selected

Hence, the above query is not returning "1" which was not expected  for load balancing.

Changes

 None.
