Executing Integration Interfaces in ODI Results in Agent Becoming Unresponsive with No Messages Logged (Doc ID 2366723.1)

Symptoms

When executing load plans or interfaces/mappings with Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) 11g or 12c, the Agent will eventually become unresponsive, stalling the execution and failing Agent tests from Studio with "ODI-1424: Agent host or port cannot be reached" messages.

One particular Integration Interface/Mapping may consistently be the one in progress. It may occur in as little as ten minutes, or after over an hour.

The failed Integration Interface/Mapping may have been completing successfully for some time previous to this problem happening.

Other Integration Interfaces/Mappings are completing successfully with no Agent issues.
