ODI Is Connected to VCS, What Is the Meaning of the "i" and "u" Flags Next to Mappings or ODI Objects After a Merge or Update? (Doc ID 2371147.1)

Goal

Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) 12c is configured with an external Version Control System (VCS), such as Apache Subversion (SVN) or Git.

Changes are made to a Branch which are then merged into the Trunk.

Once this is done, there is an "i" indicator displayed in the icon next to the merged object on the left navigation in Designer.

There is a similar "u" flag when a mapping is updated.

What do the "i" and "u" symbols mean?


Note the symbol disappears once a new version of the object is created.
