ODI 12c OdiInvokeWebservice Step Does Not Timeout While Calling a Non Responsive WebService (Doc ID 2371890.1)

Last updated on JUNE 16, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Data Integrator - Version 12.1.2.0.0 to 12.2.1.3.0 [Release 12c]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) -TIMEOUT property of OdiInvokeWebService tool has been configured to force a timeout when an external WSDL cannot be reached in a certain amount of time.

It is expected ODI to fail with a timeout error after the configured number of milliseconds.

Instead, ODI exceeds this delay, and waits for the WSDL to eventually become available and complete the execution.
