ORDS Shows 500 "Internal Server Error" Error-Reason Cannot Contain CRLF Charcters" Accessing a Mod_plsql Procedure or APEX URL (Doc ID 2373039.1)

Symptoms

ORDS is configured to either access APEX or run mod_plsql procedures when the following error occurs:

Error 500 "Internal Server Error" in the Browser


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Installed a NON-APEX based ORDS

2. Ran the following command
java -jar ords.war setup --database dcsp_pts
java -jar ords.war map-url --type base-path /dcsp_pts dcsp_pts

3. Run a mod_plsql request. For example:
   http://IP:<PORT>/ords/schema/package_home.login 
OR an APEX request:
   http://IP:<PORT>/ords/


Changes

 A new ORDS configuration has been created.
