(Doc ID 2373105.1)
Last updated on NOVEMBER 08, 2023
Applies to:
Java SE JDK and JRE - Version 8 to 8Information in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
On Windows, if a particular version of the JRE is already installed, say, JRE 8u152, and then a user installs a newer update of JDK, say, JDK 8u162, will the Java 8u162 version of the JRE contained within the JDK become the default desktop JRE (overriding the installed JRE 8u152 as the default desktop JRE) for Java Plugin traffic?
