An Approval in Fusion Applications is failing with "Error walking up Hierarchy. Failed to fetch UptoApprover for principal" (Doc ID 2381523.1)

Symptoms

When selecting Manage Approvals in a Fusion Applications (Procurement) Purchase Order, the following error appears in the FA user interface:

Error occurred while displaying History tree table. Error in evaluating routing slip. Check the underlying exception and correct the error in the routing slip.



In the diagnostic.log file, the following errors can be seen :-
