WebCenter Content (WCC) OracleTextSearch Metadata Search with "Less-Than" Character not Returning Expected Results (Doc ID 2383867.1)

In WCC environment, metadata searching with keyword including "less-than" sign ("<") does not work as expected.

The search does not return any expected content (i.e. including "<" in the metadata value) even though it returns without error.
