Symptoms

A customer is on the 12.2.1.2.2 version. Customer is simply bringing up the cluster after an OS/environment patching event, the cluster was shut down gracefully before the event. In fact, there was no special activity. It was a simple cluster start up. No one tampered the persistence data folders on the local disk, the folders exists and contains persistence data but was not recoverable as per the warnings and cache data miss noticed by the client after cluster started running. The log messages are as follows.
