Goal

In Oracle iPlanet Web Server 7.0.x, are the 3DES ciphers 2-key ciphers or 3-key ciphers?

Among the ciphers used in Oracle iPlanet Web Server 7.0.x are 3DES ciphers, which utilize Encryption -> Decryption -> Encryption (EDE) to provide a higher standard of security than DES. 3DES ciphers can be either 3-key ciphers whereby each step uses a unique and different key, else they can be 2-key ciphers, whereby one key is utilized for the initial encryption; a second key is utilized for the decryption, and the first key is again utilized for the final encryption step. A 3-key 3DES cipher provides a higher level of security than a 2-key 3DES cipher.
