OUD DIP 11g Synchronization With OpenLDAP Profile : All Mapping Rules Fail with Error "Source attribute does not exist" or "Unrecognized Token In Attribute Mapping Rule" Because ACLs Restricts Access to Schema Definition (Doc ID 2389885.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 26, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Internet Directory - Version 11.1.1.9.0 and later
Oracle Unified Directory - Version 11.1.2.3.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

An Oracle Directory Integration Platform (DIP) administrator is creating a Synchronization Profile between OpenLDAP and the Oracle back-end directory (e.g. Oracle Unified Directory). All attribute mapping rules are failed with the following error messages when validating using Oracle Enterprise Manager Fusion Middleware Control or manageSyncProfiles Utility:

Source object class "<objectclass_name>" does not exist
Source attribute "<Attribute_Name>" does not exist
Unrecognized token in attribute mapping rule "<Attribute_Name>"

The mapping rules validation is executed automatically when enabling the synchronization profile. Enabling the synchronization profile also fails due to the mapping rules error.
