Java Option -Xss Does Not Work On HP-UX Platform - java.lang.StackOverflowError (Doc ID 2394311.1)

Symptoms

Using WebLogic Server (WLS) 10.3.6 on a HP-UX platform, the administration console failed to edit and gave a java.lang.StackOverflowError.

In normal cases to avoid java.lang.StackOverflowError,  you can increase the stack size using -Xss option. After doing this, the error still existed and the size of the stacktrace has not been changed, for example:
