Goal

What will be the impact of moving from CMS to G1 GC with using large pages enabled, -XX:+UseLargePages?

A coherence cluster user was facing long GC pauses with JDK 8. They did not see this issue while running with JDK 7. The problem with JDK 8 was that sometimes the class-unloading step of CMS-remark phase was taking a very long time to do its job. Customer was running with large pages enabled with both JDK 7 and JDK 8.
